When I bought my house, the backyard had a patchy chain-link fence that my two huskies were already testing, so I started looking for a Fence Contractor who wouldn’t just throw up panels and call it done. The Fence Contractor I hired walked the property with me and pointed out where the grade dipped near the back corner, explaining how they’d step the boards to keep gaps from forming underneath. Their team even suggested moving one post a few inches to avoid a tree root that could’ve shifted later, which I wouldn’t have caught on my own. Now the dogs can’t nose their way out, the gate lines up cleanly without dragging, and I don’t have to keep watching the yard like a security guard.
